Bayer Ophthalmology held an evening meeting in Brisbane with Professor Diana Do and Prof Quan Dong Nguyen from Stanford University, California, USA.

The main theme of the meeting  on Thursday, 26th October 2017 was a case-driven discussion on wet / neovascular Age Related Macular Degeneration, with a particular focus on the diagnosis and management of complex cases, including suboptimal responders, persistent fluid, Polypoidal Choroidopathy and Pigment Epithelial Detachments.

Dr Mark Donaldson was Chairman for the meeting and served on the speaker panel to stimulate discussion among Brisbane retina specialists on how to manage these most complex of cases.  Prof Do and Nguyen have been heavily involved in the pivotal clinical trials which have resulted in new successful treatments for wet AMD and it was wonderful to share their insights from the cutting edge of ophthalmology in Silicon Valley.
