On the 21st November 2017 the Terrace Eye Centre celebrates 1 year in our modern and spacious premises at 87 Wickham Terrace.
At Terrace Eye Centre educating patients is not only important because it supports better decision-making on their behalf but it can also reduce anxiety and emotional stress while empowering the patient.
The Terrace Eye Centre has had a philosophy of providing outreach ophthalmology services to areas of need across QLD since its inception. This has been both direct support by having Ophthalmologists visit rural centres, but also to ensure that patients from rural and regional Australia, particularly our indigenous have accessible and affordable services at the Terrace Eye Centre.
Terrace Eye Centre is proud to be involved in a Phase 4 Diabetic Macular Oedema (DME) Study. Macular oedema is caused by vascular leakage and is associated with a number of diseases including diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusive disease.
In September 2017 Professor Tim Sullivan from Terrace Eye Centre organised and hosted the International Orbital Society Meeting in Brisbane.
